Ok, so here is my first WORKING Hackintosh
It is a Dell Inspiron 530 I picked up for free at a local computer shop. As some of you may know, the Dell BIOS on this machine is severely limited which didn't make things easy.
So I did some research and stumbled upon an alternate bios for the 530 which allowed AHCI and HPET which are essential for this computer to work as a Hackintosh. I then created a El Capitan installer with Unibeast with the legacy clover and Nvidia graphics option. Install was pretty smooth took about 20 Min. When the install was done I had to run Multibeast and install clover legacy boot loader, AppleIntel1000e (Ethernet), ALC888 (Audio), the SMC plugin, and HWMonitor.
Everything is working EXCEPT:
Sleep (Will go into sleep but no video when I try to wake it up)
Shut Down (Sometimes it will shut down and then start back up or sometimes it just doesn't shut off)
2 USB Ports (2 of the 4 USB ports on the rear of the computer are not working although all of the front ones DO work)
My specs are listed in my user info
It runs pretty fast for a Core 2 Duo and is about on par with a 2007 or early 2008 iMac.
I bought OS X Server from the App Store and I am currently using it as a Time Machine Backup Server.
If anyone wants a more detailed guide on how to do this, let me know.
