Success! Catalina Public Beta 3

Just installed Catalina Public Beta 3, works like a charm.

What I did:

• Created install media on a 2nd partition of a spare SSD
  

  sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/SSD

• Created 2nd APFS volume (not partition) on my main NVMe
• Updated Clover, Whatevergreen, Lilu etc. to latest versions
• Booted from /Volumes/SSD, selected dedicated volume "Catalina" as destination
• Done.

Hardware:

• ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero
• i7 8700k
• 32GB RAM
• Sapphire RX570 8GB
• Samsung 970 EVO 500GB
• Crucial MX500 1TB

Well, I think I'll upgrade my Mojave installation later this day. ;-)

Hi, I'm currently on Public Beta 2, do you have sleep/wake problem ? Everything works fine with me on Mojave, but in Catalina, i cannot wake up my desktop from sleep.

Sadly, I always got sleep/wake issues. That's because my AIO sends something strange to my internal USB which results in wake up after a few seconds sleep. Sleep/wake works for me only with Windows -.-

I was having the same problem with Catalina, for days I've been trying everything I can. By chance I tried setting the internal igpu as primary as others have had luck with, no joy. So, I disabled the internal gpu and sleep now works for me. Don't ask me why, because I have no idea!

I think there is a problem with Haswell in Catelina beta, I all so have problem wake up from sleep. I use igpu with my two mobo. Catelina working perfectly wake up from sleep igpu with Ivy brige.

do you have a similar issue with public Catalina release 3 days ago on your Z97X gaming 5? . My wake does not work. Have you perhaps solved it ? If so how ?

i solved my issue. just go to bios settings and disable the serial port
