Got a smoothly running (fresh install) of Catalina on the DELL Optiplex 9020 (Core i7 using onboard GPU (non-discreet)). Everything works that I can tell (audio, ethernet, usb, sleep, wake). The hard part was making a bootable USB with a properly configured Clover bootloader.

So, I attached a zipped EFI folder. Simply unzip and place this EFI folder in the EFI partition of your vanilla Catalina Installer USB or a standalone USB boot stick AND delete everything else in the EFI partition, the same can be done on your boot drive after Catalina is fully installed.

Hope this helps somebody out.

Attached EFI updated Dec 17th 2020 (SMBIOS info removed, you'll have to generate your own unique serial and SMUUID with Clover Configurator).

Thank you, man!
Works on my machine: Optiplex 9020 SFF Core i7, GPU Intel Graphics HD 4600, 24GB RAM with a PCI-E 4x Firewire Texas Instruments 400-800.

Edit: what layout did you use for audio? I have only have internal speakers activated with the 15 on devices tab.
Theres some chance for Display Port send audio to my Monitor? Tks again.

vbmota, The setup in the OP sends audio to the DP in my case. It seems that getting audio to work is a trial and error process until you find something that works. Sorry I can't be of more help.

As an addendum: I updated the boot flag of darkwake=2. The previous boot flag of darkwake=10 caused many random wakeups during sleep mode (approx 20-30/night). The darkwake=2 boot flag fixes that issue.

update: The darkwake=2 flag didn’t work, evidently. Still keeps waking up 20-30 times/night during sleep mode.

Thanks for your EFI.
I have a problem with my AMD FIREPRO W4100 graphics card. I activated ATI inject but it doesn't work.

This guide along with the Optimac 4K 9020 guide worked for me - Catalina on 9020 using IGPU.

Had many problems with sleep/wake in Catalina that were solved with update to 10.15.2. Specifically, under 10.15.1 and below, I would get 20-30 wakes per day. All solved now under 10.15.2.

Are you using darkwake=2 successfully?

Is the front sound out working ?
