[Success but with WI-FI problem] Build with Gigabyte H97N, Intel i5 4690k, and 16 GB RAM

First of all, thanks for the helpful guide and articles on building a Mackintosh. I am very happy with my new build, everything works so far except for the Wi-Fi. I don't see the Airport icon on the top-right corner of my screen, so I am wondering how I should make the Wi-Fi work.

I am able to make the Bluetooth work after running the Bluetooth assistant. Anyone knows how to make Wi-Fi work? I am pretty sure the mobo has support for Wi-Fi.

The Gigabyte GA-H97N-WIFI motherboard does indeed come with a Mini PCIe Wifi/Bluetooth card installed. However, the Wifi is based on the Intel Centrino chipset, which is unsupported in OS X. It's possible to get the Bluetooth alone working, but not the Wifi.

The good news is that it's inexpensive and very simple to replace that Mini PCIe card with a supported card based on a Broadcom or Atheros chipset. Here are a couple of threads dedicated to the topic:
