[Success] b1's "Mac Mini Killer" with macOS Mojave: i7-8700 | Gigabyte Z370N | RX560 | 16GB RAM

Only the left port works with IntelMausiEthernet.kext. The right one is not.

After a little deeper digging, I found out that the Z370N has two different ethernet controllers: 1 x Intel I211AT Gigabit Ethernet
and 1 x Intel I219V Gigabit Ethernet. See the table at https://www.kitguru.net/components/motherboard/ryan-martin/gigabyte-z370n-wifi-motherboard-review/ and the second figure at https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8484/gigabyte-z370n-wifi-intel-z370-motherboard-review/index4.html.

It looks like IntelMausiEthernet.kext provides support for the I219V chip, but not for the I211AT one which appears to be an older one. I am still looking for the appropriate kext for the I211 chip, and I'll report back if I find one.

True. Actually, you can see Ethernet adapters names in BIOS.

I can be wrong, but I guess both ethernet ports worked in the early days of my Hackintosh. Then I minimise my kexts and the second port is not working any more.

I still have my first glitchy EFI folder somewhere. I will try kexts from it this weekend.

Cool, thanks. It looks like SmallTree-Intel-211-AT-PCIe-GBE.kext (https://www.small-tree.com/support/download_category?cat_id=6) is the way to go: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-appleigb-and-intelmausi-kext-issue.260831. Apparently the AppleIGB.kext (that used to be recommended kernel extension for this NIC) was causing kernel panics.

I don't have access to my Hackintosh right now, but I'll try to test it during the weekend and report back.

I am just 4 months old in Hackintosh world so asking this question, how to upgrade from high Sierra 10.13.6 to Mohave? I have same configuration except no graphics card and using dw1560 for WiFi Bluetooth. My present build works perfectly.
By the way excellent post for this motherboard.
Thanks!

First of all, make a bootable clone with Carbon Copy Cloner (it has 30 days free trial). Then manually copy your EFI folder to a new disk and make sure you can boot from the clone (unplug the main disk and try to boot).

If everything ok, try my EFI folder and make sure that you can boot. Then update to Mojave.

I have read somewhere of updating the clover Bootloader as for cloning I have made an external clone of my existing drive which I am able to boot and it works now I have a perfect copy of my High Sierra, so now on this external drive I should update the Bootloader and see if it boots with my existing efi folder in High Sierra. If it boots then I have to
Download Mohave
Update Bootloader of my existing boot drive
Run the install Mohave to install

Is the steps correct?

If you can boot from your clone without main drive, then:

1. Update Clover on main drive
2. Update all kexts or use mine + kexts for your WiFi.
3. Download Mojave from App Store and update.

If something goes wrong, just restart your main drive from the clone.

Don't use my config.plist during the update. Try to update to Mojave with your config.plist first. It should work. And after a successful update, make a new clone and then try my EFI folder etc.
