Installation Steps

1) Ethernet (many thx to @BreBo):

ASUS Z170i Pro Gaming has the Intel I219V Gigabit LAN Controller.
You can use the driver from MultiBeast

1) MultiBeast > Drivers > Network > Intel > IntelMausiEthernet v2.2.1d1
2) Restart

2) Graphics

1) Download this kext http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/119315/
2) Restart

3) Audio

1) Install Clover
2) Mount EFI
3) Disable SIP in Rt Variables --- csr-active-config 0x67 = SIP Disabled completely ---
4) Restart
5) Multibeast --- Drivers > Audio > RealtekALCXXX > 100 Series Audio --- Install
6) Restart
7) Multibeast --- Drivers > Audio > RealtekALC1150 --- Install
8) Restart
9) Enable SIP in Rt Variables --- csr-active-config 0x0 = SIP Enabled (Default) ---

- For the sleep problem were it won't work -
10) Download KextBeast
11) Download this kext
12) Install it and reboot. Not any flag required.

4) Bluetooth

1) Mount EFI partition
2) MultiBeast > Drivers > USB > Increase Max Port Limit 100 Series
3) MultiBeast > Drivers > Disk > Intel Generic AHCI SATA
4) Restart

5) All USB ports (3.1,3.0,2.0 and pc-case 3.0 ports)

With a clean installation I discovered that all ports worked except when connecting HUBS and extenders.
However, with the Bluetooth installation in 4) you will also install the kext for making all of them working perfectly.
(I did also performed some Blackmagic Disk Speed Test and the velocity in the original 3.0 and the HUBS ones are the same, so yeah, perfect installed.)

6) Trim for the SSD

Open Terminal and paste this

sudo trimforce enable

It will restart and you are good to go! (In system information you can check it's enabled).


Some things to take in consideration:
-The first boot from USB provides you Ethernet connection. If you don't have a hotspot USB (iPhone for example) connection you should consider downloading all the needed things for the Ethernet before any further installations.
-I have found some times a not smooth OS as a real Mac, and it does bother me a lot considering the price I have paid when, maybe, a MacMini would be smoother.
-This community is awesome, the support is really a thing to show respect!

Everything (except the WiFi/BT combo card which I am not planing of getting) is working. Any questions I will be helping you guys!

As some of you may know I have been creating post for the last 2 weeks continuously. I wasn't sure at first but this is awesome! The possibility of swapping to Win10 to play games.. just another level.

Updated. Now Bluetooth and all USB working. (Bluetooth stock card, not Apple m.2 one. Wifi won't be needed with Ethernet).

We have similar hardware, just the GPU.

Did you use rehabman usb inject kext?. Me an a fellow in that thread have minor issues with intel usb 3.0 not being full 5gbs, we lack a dsdt to properly map the USB ports, usb 3.1 works fine Since that's not intel, i use a usb hub.

Everything else works, i also don't have smooth ui which is what i think its down to the gpu, with sierra they have introduced new library security validation.

I got a magic touchpad to match my apple keybord which helps the ui.

My logitech mouse was causing auto focus so that was a issue while typing and watching films.

H265 videos and other large videos work fine.

You might need to watch that heatsink, its rated 70watts

Hi, I actually saw it but didn't follow because of the creation date, I supposed it was't updated because of [El Capitan] on title.. and I did want to make the install the cleanest the possible (I firstly used some kexts and config.plist of others guide, so yeah, after knowing everything could work my goal was to make it work by myself).

About the USBs, this are my velocities. I will be using the fatest capable USB for the test I have, this one.

For 3.1 USB I have this velocity.

For 3.0 USB I have this one.

For the 3.0 HUB connected to the 3.0 USB I have this one.

For the 2.0 USB I have this one.

For the case front USB ports I have this one.

I only installed the USB drivers as posted, with the Bluetooth installation.

I am also getting the trackpad and the keyboard (made the bluetooth works two days ago).

Any wifi-bluetooth card recommendation??

About the cooler, this is the CPU intel information I get

The box of the cooler says that it supports up to 70W, however I have in the ASUS bios the coolers to normal, for avoiding the high noise. Here it says the 70W

After several installations and different issues I'm gonna share the result of your guide's experience, and I wanna thank you again Carlos for guide and past help. Here is my config:

First time I followed all your guide steps it worked but then I had a black screen after booting with clover from SSD,but I could load it just with Pen drive and sound was working. Then I made several installations cause after making some steps ,rebooting, OS it was not able to load with Clover if launched from SSD (again it could boot from Pen Drive, just now with no sound).
It happened rebooting after these steps :

• - For the sleep problem were it won't work - (I was not sure if it was always needed but a couple of time sound fixed after this step)

• Clover v2.4k r4063 UEFI Boot Mode
• Graphic Configuration\Intel HD 5xx
• System Definitions\Mac Pro\Mac Pro 6,1

• Restart

Just for getting more information of how hackintosh does performance on your system, could you tell me what does it work and what doesn't? Also any kind of USB performance like I did in the 3º comment? It looks like there are some people trying to figure out what is happening to their USB 3.0 performance! (See 2º comment).

For the audio I don't have any need for the hackintosh installer plugged. Follow my steps and it will work.

So, I think you are getting some better USB results than my hackintosh, but I don't know if it's because of the USB you are using or because of the kexts and installation you did. How did you installed the USB kexts? What do you have on 3.1 in average??

i did geekbench trial and cinebench.

i will try black magic when i can find a spare drive, i plan to buy another ssd for my macbook and do a clean installation using this guide as my intel 3.0 are picky.

I have this Geekbench.



About the CineBench, I do have an Nvidia so nothing to compare really..

Later you can also add a fix for sleep audio wake. But please, first install the audio correctly. I would suggest installing the OS X again in another partition - USB (for example) just for testing.
