I quickly ran some updated benchmarks, slight increase with 10.14.2 it seems. Previous Geekbench score was 5932/23934 and Luxmark 16938.

I think I will try to figure out some basic overclocking over the weekend perhaps.

Onboard video fixed, but still having problems with the RX580. I'll test it on another system and probably return it for another card. High Sierra running well, LAN connectivity is strong, but no audio. Windows is also installed on one of the M.2 - running well.

Have you tried putting the RX580 in a different slot? Is pcie graphics enabled in the BIOS? Does the RX580 work in windows?

Almost everything is working well, I missed a step in your directions and didn’t have the BIOs configured properly! I still have three issues 1) one of the M.2s is not recognized by the system 2) External drives aren’t always recognized and 3) Audio.

Initially I loaded High Sierra and it worked well. I was able to download and install Mojave and it looks great! Next is migrating my apps.

Is one of your M.2 drives SATA? If so make sure you have SATA enabled in the BIOS and the SATA M.2 drive is in the top M.2 Slot (the one with the heatsink).

The onboard sound doesn't work yet. It uses the S1200A codec which AppleALC doesn't yet support. @toleda is working on adding support with some help from @NZRichard in this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/adding-audio-codec-applealc.264396/page-9

I am assuming the external drive is USB? You will probably have to go through and map out your USB ports and create a custom SSDT to get all of the USB ports working. Rehabman has a thorough guide here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-creating-a-custom-ssdt-for-usbinjectall-kext.211311/ You can try using the SSDT-UIAC.aml I created, note that I have the USB 3.1 ports disabled, as I am not using them, and needed to get below the 15 port count. See post #13

Thanks for the info!

All is well, I did update the BIOS to the latest release - no issues.

Mojave is good to go.

Audio - Bluetooth is good so I just use a Bluetooth speaker.

LAN - perfect

USBs recognize accessories but not large external hard drives. At one point the USB 3 Gen 2 Port recognized my Time Machine back up and I was able to migrate all my applications.

Adobe LR and PhotoShop work great.

Overall - Very happy with the build, thank you for all the information!

I swapped from the PCIE adapter to the onboard M.2 conncetor for wifi.

Does your onboard M.2 connector provide (bluetooth) mouse control to select a boot drive in Clover?

BTW - onboard audio is very close.

I am using an Apple WiFi/Bluetooth module, bought from eBay, believe its the same as from an older MacBook Air. I am not sure if it provides mouse control in clover on boot, I've always just used the keyboard to tab around if needed; and I use a USB mouse currently. I will see if I can find a Bluetooth mouse and give it a try though.
