Perhaps you can try using Hackintool to inspect that port both with and without the USBInjectAll loaded. Maybe we need to tweak the properties of the port:

EDIT: Also I'd like to know where your USB-C audio adapter shows up in this list while the kext is loaded. Maybe we need to add a port to the map. (like if it shows up as HS04 or something)

This is how it looks like now with working front and rear USB-C ports (HS05 is front USB-C):

OK, just like I suspected, it's coming up as HS04 which wasn't in my map. (because it's low speed)

Try replacing your copy of USBports.kext with the attached, and then disable USBInjectAll

Now the rear USB-C works (!) but not the front or better: the iPhone is just charging.

This is at the moment the best solution, if the front USB-C cannot work, it would be not a problem for me since I can just use an old USB cable for the iPhone.

We can make that work too, but we'd probably have to kill another unused port to stay at the 15 port limit. Give me another screenshot with the updated kext loaded and USBInjectAll NOT loaded from Hackintool.

Make sure you have everything plugged in that you use, so I can see what ports are free.

This would be great! :)

OK, here you go, let me know if it works for you. I removed low speed mode for the bottom red port as an FYI to stay under the limit.

@hemon and @ac9001 USB port mapping has gotten a lot harder since Big Sur 11.3. Using any version of USBInjectall.kext and XHCIPortLimit quirk with Hackintool will not recognize all of the ports and or configure them properly. I've got a couple of Z590 boards and had to resort to loading Catalina and then used a combination of CorpNewt's USB Mapping tool and Hackintool. Even then all the ports were not correctly identified by type, stuff like the wireless bluetooth card and the LED Lighting controller were shown as USB3 when they should be classified as internal ports. I had to manually change those myself, it was a chore. It may be slightly easier with your respective Z490 boards and you be able to get away using the USB Mapping Tool

Thanks very much for the info. I was definitely noticing inconsistent results.

Hey there I've recently upgraded to Monterey from Big Sur and I'm experiencing random restarts/panics and when I try to manually restart from the apple menu the system panics as well.

I had no problems on Big Sur and had full functionality. I noticed someone pointed out that the USB map has to be perfect, I did a manual map using USB ToolBox back when I updated to BigSur so I don't think that's the issue. Also, I'm noticing that the panic log mentions whatevergeen and lilu, but I'm also using the latest versions of those and not technical enough to understand what the issue is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Are you using my EFI (from this thread) ? ... it certainly doesn't look like it if you're configured as a MacPro7,1
