I agree....much easier to support and same results. As usual there is more than one way to get to the same end, is one way better than another? That's really just a matter of opinion.

Yeah, for now I'm trying to focus on the items where it is clearly the better way, like I would like to nuke FakePCIID once and for all. Right now I still have it there for HDMI audio, going to try and find a better way...

Anyway, with an Audio USB-C adaptor I receive yet the error "USB Device Needs Power". If someone can help with this, would be great.

Maybe give this a shot. This is my latest build with dreamwhite's method of doing the USB map (ACPI instead of Kext) ... maybe it will help:

Unfortunately, nothing changes.

I noticed this problems:

- verbose mode at start
- no HDMI output
- no Audio HDMI
- somehow I have a problem with a weak internet connection

To get rid of verbose remove the -v from the NVRAM - Boot Args line. For HDMI audio just enable the 2 FakePCIID kexts (they're already in the zip). For Ethernet make sure you don't have the connection set on auto, hard set it to 1000 Gbps or whatever your switch supports. (see 1st post of this thread)

Not sure on HDMI - IGPU missing ... @dreamwhite ?

Good evening everyone. I'm not sure that iGPU HDMI output is missing since I translated the patch into a single alldata property for each connector. I'll try to convert it again this morning (1:14 AM at my place at the time of writing) otherwise just revert to the old graphics patch and see if it works.
Regarding the Ethernet, with dk.e1000=0 boot-arg you don't have to set your LAN card to 1000mbps or whatever, just reset the network settings and leave the default one (Auto)
