Hey everyone! I am quite relieved/happy after finally getting my new hack to boot so I thought that I would share what I did.

Specs
Asus MAXIMUS VII Hero
Intel i5 4790K
EVGA Nvidia GTX 960
Crucial Ballistics 32GB RAM
Kingston 240GB SSD

Install
Only 1 stick of RAM, 1 SSD and GTX 960
Boot flags: -no-zp nv_disable=1
Post-install
Boot flags: -no-zp nv_disable=1
After setting up account, shutdown and remove GPU
Tried to install NVIDIA Web Drivers but failed…the reason was because you have to set your system to Mac Pro x,1 via MultiBeast and then find the exact Web Drivers for your build (I will post the link later).

MultiBeast with these options:
Quick Start > DSDT Free
Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC1150
Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA
Drivers > Disk > TRIM Enabler > 10.10.1-2 TRIM Patch (SSD ONLY)
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364 Plugins
Drivers > Misc > USB 3.0 - Universal
Drivers > Network > Intel > AppleIntelE1000e v3.0.4.1a
Bootloaders > Chimera v4.0.1
Customize > System Defintions > Mac Pro 3,1
Customize > Boot Options > Basic Boot Options
Customize > Boot Options > Hibernate Mode - Desktop
Customize > Boot Options > Kext Dev Mode
Customize > Boot Options > Verbose Boot

Restart the system and the only boot flag that I need now is -no-zp

This is going to be my computer for data analytics so i installed some various software (R, Matlab...) and backed everything up to my 1TB WD Black hdd, and will soon (maybe later today) try to update it from 10.10.2 to 10.10.3 and then attempt to fix iMessage.

I also bought a Samsung Evo Pro 500GB m.2 ssd that I would like to have my OS and apps on...any ideas?

hey man, can you confirm if audio and Ethernet work? Did you get the nVidia web drivers? OS X 10.10.5?
I got a faulty motherboard and was considering this very same one as a replacement. Thanks in advance
