[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Thanks
I'm booting Monterey 12.1b but ends with black Screen
I tried
WEG & agpdmode=pikera ➧ Black Screen
agpdmode=pikera ➧ Black Screen
WEG ➧ Black Screen
none ➧ Black Screen
Please note that the boot argument is agdpmod=pikera, not agdpmode.

Do you know the Device ID of your card? If you have Windows or Linux installed, we can determine the ID there.

I use HWINFO64, which is a free app we can download. It acts a little like IORegistryExplorer. We have to find the GPU in the tree on left side, then get its device ID on the right.

There might be a better/easier way to do this in Windows…

In windows you can just go into device manager, get properties of video card, then select ID from drop down.

Device 0x73FF is natively supported in Monterey 12.1 (beta).

Some questions:
  • Is Resizable BAR Support enabled or disabled in BIOS? Best to leave it disabled for now.
  • Just to confirm: Are you running Monterey 12.1 beta?
  • Are you booting from the correct EFI partition?
  • Have you tried CMOS Reset followed by configuring BIOS parameters?

Yess I Update Yesterday this drive with Monterey 12.1b4

Yess, When enable/disable the verbose mode in the boot arg it acts accordingly
  • Have you tried CMOS Reset followed by configuring BIOS parameters?
I Update the BIOS with the latest and Load the default preset and I configure the BIOS as usual

FYI If I boot from the installer I get to UI ... but due to lack of NVRAM support the installation process never ends ....

How long are you waiting after black screen?

I just want to add that between the verbose boot and window server starting, even my 6900XT screen goes black...Since it has no mac EFI it will be black when it's transitioning out of bios/OC boot and into macOS window server driven driver. Especially on display port since that takes a bit longer to initialize. I use two displays so I always watch the DP display take several seconds longer to come on over the DVI one.
