[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Big sur 11.1 is now available maybe they will work now, but not much hope. I will test tomorrow.

My RX 6800 XT is winging its way from California to the UK, to be delivered Thursday I hope.

Lucky you! How much did that set you back? I caved and bought an RX6800 (not XT) on UK eBay a couple days ago. Just waiting for Big Sur to work with these cards, then I'll update my main Catalina install and go Big Sur full time!

I just updated to Big Sur 11.1 and popped my 6800 XT and I can confirm that there's currently still no support for the new AMD 6000 series cards. I was able to boot but the card is showing up as a generic card. Guess we'll have to wait for the next update.

Yeah 6800 By AMD ,no noise, much quieter than rx580

I bit more than I wanted to pay but with the current shortage in supply I decided to just bite the bullet. Otherwise it would probably be summer 2021 before I got my hands on one.

That’s not bad at all! I’ve seen some going on eBay for £1200+! The only reason I went for the 6800 was based on what I’d seen the XTs going for. Congratulations mate!
