=> F10, save the CMOS
- Install 4Go RAM ONLY VERY IMPORTANT
- Boot with iBoot
- Swap the DVD
- Hit F5
- Boot to the Mac OS Installation DVD
- Partition the HDD, choose 2 partitions : one of 8 Go for xMove installer and one of the size of your choice for the OS.
- Install.
- Reboot with iBoot
- Configure the computer, you should have internet with the Airport Card
- Install UpdateHelper and reboot
- Install 10.6.8 Combo update
- Reboot with iBoot or rBoot
- Download Mac OS Lion from App Store

then reboot
- Reboot

Easier method via Unibeast : http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2011/10/unibeast-install-mac-os-x-lion-using.html
Install Lion via Unibeast. Reboot with Unibeast then install all the updates via Software Update.
Reboot with Unibeast USB Drive, you should be on 10.7.3
Run multibeast with :
screenshot_20.jpg

There you go, everything works

Graphic Card (HD5450):
The easiest method is via ATIInjector : http://www.osx86.net/view/1098-ati_hd5450_0x68f9_sl[all_in_one].zip.html

Comments :

- TRIM on my SSD activated. Boot time is less than 10 seconds
- Users moved to my 500Go Seagate SATA III HDD, my SSD is only for apps and system
- Webcam, C525, works OOB with Skype and Photobooth. HD Recording and HD Video works great.
- Modified the SMBIOS.plist, for cosmetic but also it gave me higher Geekbench results
- The system is very fast. More than SL and plus it is 100% working.
- Dual-boot working. Just boot to the partition self-created by Windows Seven.
- Overclock done with Stock Cooler, see temps in second post.

Thanks for reading, feel free to ask any questions. :headband:

Re: [Success 10.7.2] Z68MA-D2H-B3, i5 2500k, 8Go 1600Mhz, HD5450

Nice machine, and great post :D

I have a question, that I hope you can answer for me!

My build is very similar to yours, with a Sapphire HD5450 1g gpu, and a z68mx-ud2h-b3. Somehow I managed to get it all working(with a lot of luck I guess), quite fast and stable:)
But theres still some minor bugs relating to graphics. Working fine most of the time, but not able to run GTA4, for example. It just wont open the window, I can only access the GTA menubar in the upperscreen.
I installed a ATI5000Injector.kext when installing the system, wich made the system recognize the gpu back in osx 10.7.0, but I dont think its in use anymore, after upgade to 10.7.2. (by then the gpu was recognized as a 5430m card)
Now it says ATI radeon 5000, as in your screenshot.

I know that was a long story, so I will try to get to my question now.

In your guide, you wrote:
"- Added my device id to ATI5000Controller.kext,rebooted and QE/CI enabled"
How did you do this, and do you think I should do the same?

Thanks a lot:)

I have the same motherboard, I tested with Kingston memory corsair vengeance and finally, the first bank recognizes it only as RAM, is not able to recognize DDR3 could you please ¿post your SMBIOS?, Excuse my English

By adding my device id to ATI5000Controller.kext in S/L/E, i got full resolution but no dual screen or QE/CI.
I placed ATI5000Injector in E/E and worked OOB. I don't know if GTA 4 works but GTA Vice City and Fast 5 works, I usually play on Windows.
There it is my ATI5000Injector.

Good luck

Thanks

I've installed the injector, and nothing seems to change, so I'll try to add the device to the list and go on from there. For me its complicated stuff, but I'll let you hear when, and if, I'll succeed.

Re: [Success 10.7.2] Z68MA-D2H-B3, i5 2500k, 8Go 1600Mhz, HD5450

With Chimera 1.5 i had to boot with GE=No but with Chimera 1.6 i can finally boot with GE=Yes, so try to update to latest Chimera :p

Re: [Success 10.7.2] Z68MA-D2H-B3, i5 2500k, 8Go 1600Mhz, HD5450

Hey there, thanks for sharing this. Am I right to think you're using the stock cooler @4,1GHz? Would you mind sharing how you went about overclocking? Also, how did you get better results (geekbench I assume) by editing the smbios?

Cheers
