If you want "plug and play", literally, get this one!

http://www.walmart.com/ip/IOGEAR-GBU421 ... r/13215349

I have now used this bluetooth usb adapter / dongle on 3 hacks and have not run into any issues whatsoever. I have used Apple BT keyboards, magic mice, mighty mouse, other bt devices, dell bt keyboards, and everything works flawlessly!

I tried the ASUS on my latest hack build but will be sending it back since it wasn't plug and play. I'd rather not fiddle around with having to load up drivers if I don't have to.

IOGear is PLUG & PLAY on Hackintosh! Model GBU421! No reboot necessary even!

Good luck!

Does 'Wake from Sleep' work with Magic Trackpad, Apple BT Wireless Keyboard, Magic Mouse with this dongle?

I can confirm that out of the box, the IOGear is indeed plug and play. The magic mouse will wake the machine from sleep however, performance of the mouse is sometimes lacking. It stutters and slows randomly.

Even though this info from Profiler made me think that my no name Bluetooth adapter was working correctly, it did not find my Magic Trackpad. The adapter was in a rear USB 2.0 port. The trackpad was on a desk about 2 feet from adapter.
When I moved the adapter & trackpad within a few inches of each other, the trackpad was found & paired properly. I am buying an adapter that has worked for other folks posting on the forum.

Hy all,

I have a Trust 2400P USB Bluetooth, which should work without any kexts, but as I connect it through USB, my mackintosh can't see it. I tried this next, but it didn't help either.

Do anyone know what the problem can be?

No listing at all in System Profiler under either USB or Bluetooth?

The most obvious things to check (if you haven't already) are to make sure the USB port you are using works with other devices; if so, check it in a Windows machine and see if the Bluetooth device is actually working at all.

Does anyone have any information on what to do if the vendor ID of the device is listed as 0? I am trying to follow NotShys guide. I have tried several different Vendor ID's I have tried to grab off the internet for:

Silicon Wave

Address: 00-0A-94-16-B4-52
Manufacturer: Silicon Wave
Name: Craig’s Mac Pro
Firmware Version: 2.0 (2.2217)
Bluetooth Power: On

Vendor ID: 0
Product ID: 0x7fff

EDIT:
Under System Information/USB I have found the vendor ID of my device. However, performing the hack in Not Shys guide does not work. Possibly to do with it being CSR? But I do not know if it is.

Vendor ID: 0x0c10

I have the same problem!!!

Today I've bought this BT Trust 2400p, and it wont work in ML!
ML cant see it!
I dont know what should I do...

Another vote for the IOGEAR GBU421. Works OOB, sleeps/wake just fine with a magic trackpad in ML.
