Hi everyone !

I am totally new here. This my first Hackintosh attempt.
After reading tons of threads, I'm still stuck on the "no entry" sign while trying to boot from key to install Mojave.
I understood that the problem is linked with USB 3.
But after patching my config.plist many times, I am still facing this problem.

Verbose mode is stuck on something like AppleUSBXHCI : : interrutOccured

Would anyone be kind enough to help me ?

Thank you very much !

It's not a No Entry sign, it is what Apple refer to as the Prohibitory Symbol.
Boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.

Your /EFI folder is an accident looking for somewhere to happen.

AppleALC.kext is out of date.
CodecCommander.kext is not necessary for an OS install.
FakeSMC.kext is old.
IntelGraphicsFixup.kext is deprecated.
NullCPUPowerManagement.kext defeats power management.
XHCI-200-series-injector.kext, XHCI-300-series-injector.kext and XHCI-x99-injector.kext are superseded by XHCI-unsupported.kext.

SIP is not disabled.

So should I start from scratch and make a new EFI ?

Thanks again.

Yes.

I recommend looking at successful user builds from the forum with similar hardware to your own. Find out what kexts and drivers you need by reading the FAQs.

I also recommend looking RehabMan's excellent clover config.plist repository.
https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config

As the link indicates these are designed for laptops but they can be a great starting point for your desktop config.plist provided that you know what settings you need and don't need.

Try booting and installing Mojave with the attached EFI. Backup the existing EFI from the USB install disk first and try the new one without making any changes to it.

Only if you run into the same problem again with this EFI, then first try the following:
  • Remove both USBInjectAll and XHCI-Unsupported from the CLOVER/kexts/Other folder
  • Try installation again

CaseySJ you're my savior ! Thank you very much. Thanks to your clover I'm finally able to install Mojave. Today I'll work on post-installation stuff. Thanks again.
