Hey Adrian,
Yea after reading up a bunch more on this, I noticed that even the v1 had issues on older versions of OSX (<10.7). I am returning the 781nd to newegg, and already got the WDN4800 which works super well out of the box.
I just had to replace the OC80211 kext with my backup! lesson learned: always make backups of default kexts!
Thanks again for all of your help Adrian. Im really glad I decided to build a hackintosh and for right around $400, I have a core i5 3.4ghz 3570k, 8gb ddr3 machine. Another beastly success for the gigabyte b75m-d3h. Cheers.
