Stuck on ML boot screen with spinning wheel

Hey Adrian,

Yea after reading up a bunch more on this, I noticed that even the v1 had issues on older versions of OSX (<10.7). I am returning the 781nd to newegg, and already got the WDN4800 which works super well out of the box.

I just had to replace the OC80211 kext with my backup! lesson learned: always make backups of default kexts!

Thanks again for all of your help Adrian. Im really glad I decided to build a hackintosh and for right around $400, I have a core i5 3.4ghz 3570k, 8gb ddr3 machine. Another beastly success for the gigabyte b75m-d3h. Cheers.

Glad you like your new machine, it should do you very well for quite some time to come. Enjoy

And set up Time Machine to do backups. Switch off automatic backups and please make a not of the steps you did to get your build working. Do regular (once a month)
housekeeping by repairing permissions using Disk Utility or Kext Wizard.
