Thanks for your reply, I have done as suggested and got a lot further than before.

I have uploaded a number of photos to show what was on the screen.
  • The first image (Left Most ) looked 'scary' as it is usually seen before USB port failure.
    • I have uploaded it after editing*
  • The subsequent images show normal progression of booting
  • The last image shows Graphics are to be loaded.
  • I would wait at this stage to see what happens.
****Check USB controllers in BIOS and change USB port of the Installer as a trial if the booting stops with Prohibited Entry Error

Thanks for the advice. One thing I have noticed that keeps appearing is “Please switch to XPC or bootstrap_check_in” but is that relevant?

Similar result otherwise

Just noticed that for some reason SuperIO seemed to turn to enabled overnight, so am trying again and will update

Here’s my latest with all suggestions, after the last photo, it reboots into CLOVER

you should try taking pictures of the bottom of the screen as well

That’s the entire screen in the pictures, although it doesn’t look like it.

Having fiddled with it, I don’t seem to have got any further, any suggestions based on the photos I’ve uploaded would be appreciated.

  • Have you already changed BIOS Serial Port as recommended by P1LGRIM?
    • If not, please do that : see attached composite image showing steps in your BIOS Peripherals
  • Reboot in Verbose and upload problem screen shots.
