After failing to boot in Safe mode, did you complete the Sierra System Disk installation including Clover EFI boot-loader+kexts+System Definitions on the newly reformatted HDD?I had set Boot Args:- and type -v -x but it stuck at apple logo, then I just reinstall by format my HDD .
I just install Sierra only and try one by one option in multibeast

USB -> 3rd Party USB 3.0
Customize-> Inject NVidia
Customize->System definition -> iMac 14.2
Reboot => issue still happen (Stuck in login screen)
Run MultiBeast and select:
Quick Start -> UEFI BOOT Mode
