Strange Restart Text

I have just setup a pretty vanilla macOS High Sierra build using Clover, and encountered a strange anomaly during the restart/shutdown sequence. I have no idea what could be causing it, I am not sure that it is a graphical artifact, because it has a very structured pattern and appearance, resembling text of some sort.

Usually a small loading circle would be displayed before powering down completely, but this it not the case.
I have included two videos of the weird behaviour.

I'm running on an i7-2600 and R9280X which I have had no problems with, until this most recent build.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Daze333, please update your profile (personal details) with your Motherboard, CPU and Graphics Card.
If you have a prebuilt computer enter make and model instead of motherboard (Mobo).

Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you.
