Oops. My mistake. Let me change that now. Thanks!

My USB 3.1 works fine without the GenericUSBXHI.kext.

OK. I'll remove it and check the results. Thanks for your insight.

Update: I have the same results as pastrychef - the GenericUSBXHI.kext is not needed for Gene! Updated Post #1.

hey people! I need some help here.
After installing all soft- and hardware, I keep running into this problem.
- it started BIOS hanging up (black screen) when USB 3 ports where plugged in on start up.
- now BIOS won`t even load, when I start up with only USB 2 connected.
- when I do a CMOS reset, I can get all the way to macOS sierra but, on restart, it hangs up again before BIOS loads.

What did I do wrong? Sierra runs fine once started.

I followed Storks guide on page 1

..and I can not find the option to disable the serial ports in BIOS.

I've updated Post #1's MultiBeast configuration choices, removing the GenericUSBXHCI.kext from the Build list. If you have the GenericUSBXHCI.kext in your drive's /Library/Extensions/ folder, remove it to the Trash and perform the following commands in the Terminal:
Code:
sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
sudo kextcache -system-caches
Then reboot. Hopefully, this will solve your problem.

..and I can not find the option to disable the serial ports in BIOS.
That's because there is no serial port on this motherboard.

thanks Stork,
done that. works all fine on reboot, as soon as i shut down and boot again, same problem.. mobo error code 99.
any help would be so great !!!!!!!

No, idea what the cause/solution of the problem could be. Check the GENE's User Manual for the error code. (I think it might be something generic, though). I'm at a lost to tell you what to do.

Does it work with only the keyboard and mouse plugged into the USB ports? I use the USB 3 ports in the stack with the PS/2 port for my USB 2 Keyboard. (Most of the time, I'm using the iMac compatible WiFi/BT card with my BT keyboard and mouse.)

error 99 is Super IO initialization, but i can`t really tell why...

just f info.. if it could be a power consumption thing.
i have a 600w psu bequiet straight power 10.
2x ssds
2x sata`s 7200rpm
1x 950 pro nvme
1x gtx 970
1x PCIe Universal Audio UAD solo Plugin card.

but according to my calculation that should be less than 500w consumption.
like i say, after power off i can only restart by resetting bios (cmos reset switch), warm reboot no problem.
