Hello,

I'm trying my first ever install of an hackintosh and I'm getting the "Still waiting for root device" error.

I have tried every USB 2.0 port of my motherboard and I'm trying to perform the installation from an USB 2.0 stick.

For the installation, I followed this tutorial : https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ierra-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.235474/

My hardware :

--> Motherboard : Z170 pro gaming
--> CPU : i7 6700k
--> GPU : 1070 GTX

For the bios configuration, I have followed what is described on this post : https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-10-12-4-asus-z170-pro-gaming-i5-6500-970gtx.201607/

What do you think I could try to bypass this error ?

Use the forum Search tool to look for "Still waiting for root device".

I tried that before, with no success. I was able to fix this error by using clover instead of Unibeast.
