STEP 3: Recommended BIOS Settings: I don't have "Optimized Defaults" nor do I have AHCI mode

Are you sure the AHCI mode is really absent from the BIOS options (OEM systems like yours, especially those for home users, may have been configured to remove many BIOS options that should be available in normal motherboards)?

If the shown picture is from the BIOS screen, the "Load Defaults" option at the bottom should serve as the equivalent of "Load Optimized Defaults" in normal motherboards.
Oops, yup.
Check the SATA operation option at the left part. What does it say there?

What about XHCI Handoff? I don't see that.

Either the SATA mode is already at AHCI or not, it seems to be unchangeable. What about the Drives option?

Check the USB configuration to see if the XHCI handoff option is present.

You need AHCI mode and XHCI handoff set to enabled to install and run MacOS. If either of these are not present or not changeable you may not be able to install and run MacOS.
