I can't figure out what I am doing wrong,... I have set everything correctly after testing each port, I have installed the USBInjectAll.kext, I tried the via_exclude on boot and it is still showing all my unused ports.. here is my SSDT, and IOREG, any help would be greatly appreciated.. as I am lost

I have a Z170 AR, which is very similar to an Asus Z170A which the OP uses, and I just created an SSDT with the additional support for the left USB mobo header out of the OP's template. I can confirm that my modified SSDT w/ USB header entry works with my bluetooth/pcie wifi card. Hope it helps you out if you still need it. Otherwise, hope it helps anyone else out who may need it. I've also attached the template with the added entry.

Sorry for posting in this old thread.. Just wanted to put this out there somewhere.

This is my ASUS Z170-AR Custom SSDT file for USB.

Hello,

I want to share the USB limit port SSDT file (and template) for the Asus Z170-A motherboard.

This SSDT patch only has these ports defined:

- 2 USB2/USB3 ports connected to the USB3_12 motherboard header. These ports are usually connected to the front of your case.
- 2 USB2 ports at the back of your case, upper part.
- 2 USB2/3 ports at the back of the case, middle part.

There are 10 ports defined in total, so they fit in the 15 maximum limit. I didn't include all others because I don't need them and this way there's no need to add uia_exclude on the config.plist

I just tested that and all USB3 are working (2.0 and 3.1) but the motherboard headers only 1 port out of 3 (2+2) are working.

Intel® Z170 chipset :
6 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 port(s) (2 at back panel, blue, 4 at mid-board)
Intel® Z170 chipset :
6 x USB 2.0/1.1 port(s) (2 at back panel, , 4 at mid-board)
ASMedia® USB 3.1 Gen 2 controller :
1 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 port(s) (1 at back panel, , USB Type-CTM)
ASMedia® USB 3.1 Gen 2 controller :
1 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 port(s) (1 at back panel, teal blue, Type-A)

I had problems between reboots that ruined the testing:

I add manually the 4 ports missing:
HS11, HS12,HS13,HS14 (Left and right moterboard pins) All working.
