Hey guys, I'm a bit of a noob in this and have gotten myself into a bit of trouble, after changing the smbios.plist to change from Mac Pro image 3.1 to Mac Pro 5.1, I rebooted... However I never returned back to my mavericks, instead I got a kernal panic, completely stuffing me up. Below is a drop box link that will take u to a pic of the error.

Thanks you so much for any help and assistance, thanks

kind regards
janis

Boot with -x

When the OS has loaded navigate in Finder to /System/Library/Extensions

Locate file AppleTyMCEDriver.kext and move it to the trash

Restart

Good Luck

The reason that you have this Kernel Panic as your system does not have the correct hardware to be compatible with the Mac Pro 5,1 System Definition.

Solutions both require booting into your system typing -x (safe mode) at the Chimera boot screen.

Either

1. Change your System Definition back to Mac Pro 3,1 or a supported System Definition or

2. Navigate to /System/Library/Extensions and delete AppleTyMCEDriver.kext

Wow, thanks a lot for such quick replies, will try, thnx
