the issue of IoConsole.. is a graphics issue of some kind

AppleBacklightFixup.kext is no longer required with Whatevergreen.kext
hello again Feartech

after another 8 hours playing with various versions of config.plist (as I believe that is where problem sits) I am giving up. I found over internet several threads and read (even within this forum) about "IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState" issue but nobody provided a comprehensive solution, what is more most of the threads are CLOVER-related, something I would like to avoid seeing how powerful OpenCore is. the good thing is that I really start understanding whole idea behind OpenCore and how much you can tailor the installation for your PC, in opposite to pre-built Clover...

any ideas how could be wrong ?

if you zip up your OC folder, i could take a look, but i haven't got any ivybridge hardware but may have some idea

thanks !
that's the one
your Change _OSI to XOSI is wrong, you have the same value for Find and Replace

also what is your laptop resolution?
please read the faq for proper hardware profile setup:

also missing a device ID under PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x16,0x0)

many thanks for quick response

1. s...t. apologies. my mistake I changed to "584f5349"

2. my laptop resolution is 1920 x 1080
so I entered "04006601"
also tried with "03006601"
no success in that field...

3. device-id ? is it going to be a string type field ? if so what is the value ? "Laptop" ?

thanks. I was there a couple of days ago, but could not find data for Ivy bridge (and HD 4000 Graphics) in post #2.
any idea where can I find proper values ?

hmmm. I spent there several hours preparing the OC directory I attached above.

just I cannot find values for missing graphics information. for example: device-id is mentioned for Sandy/IvyBridge Hybrids
ahh, you updated your profile, i thought you may have needed to add in:
device-id Data 3A1E0000

also you don't need all those drivers enabled, doing so may cause more issues

also experiment with the other smbios as well
