Sony Vaio doesn't boot iboot disc

Hi all,

I'm new with hackintosch and really like it!
after installing Mac OS SL on my PC I also want to install it on my laptop (Sony Vaio FE31H).
But the iboot disc won't boot on my laptop
I checked the bios settings and they are ok.

When I insert the Ultimate Boot CD in the laptop it even boots from the cd so boot from optical drive should work.

Apperantly I'm doing somthing wrong.

I'm using the same iboot disc as I used for my PC so the disc should work (iBoot 3.3.1).

Anyone knows how to help me out?

I figured out. Just needed to format the hdd first.

Now I'm gonna try installing

I figured out. Just needed to format the hdd first.

Now I'm gonna try installing

what FS did you formatted your hdd??
and why did you had to format the HDD ???

please give me explaination cause i want SL on my vaio too!!

After all I did not have to format my hdd but I would have been able to load the iboot disc by just excluding the hdd from booting.

as soon as I booted into iboot I was able to install SL. During the installation it is possible to partition the hdd for SL.

But at the moment I didn't completely succeed in the proces.
Mac OS is installed, but I have multiple problems as mentioned in viewtopic.php?f=34&t=32471
