Hi,

I've got the Sonnet Tango 800 PCIe card with FW800 and USB2.0 ports. FW800 seems to be working fine. USB is erratic though. Sometimes devices are reported, sometimes not, in System Profiler. Regardless, they don't work. Sometimes connecting a USB device causes a kernel panic.

Any ideas or tips?

The USB ports on my motherboard work fine. I do have the NEC/Renesas option of Multibeast installed for the USB3.0 ports on my motherboard. Could that interfere with it?

The card doesn't need drivers for OS X. Should work OOB (which it does, for firewire at least). It's got a NEC D720102GC chip for the USB part.

Tanx, D.

I just added the same card to my build - the FW 800 works, the USB's show that there is something connected in the system profiler, but nothing works. I'll call Sonnet this week and see if I can learn anything...
