0a5c:22be is only supported by older versions of BrcmPatchRAM (that were based on the Win7 driver). Newer BrcmPatchRAM is based on the Win8/Win10 driver which has eliminated support for that device.

You could certainly obtain the firmware hex file from within Windows and add support for it in BrcmPatchRAM.

Thank you so much !
I'm gonna follow your instructions "New devices" on GitHub and will tell you if everything is working

Hello all,

I've a BCM94331CD which is fully working with the system profile 10,1. But when I change the system profile to 14,2 as suggested the "Wifi part" of this card is no longer detected. Only Bluetooth remains to work without any issues.

Any idea why this happens?

Btw: when I install macOS Sierra via Unibeast I can connect to the Wifi without any problems. The config.plist from Unibeast has set a 14,2 system profile. So, it's strange for me that the Unibeast installation obviously detects the card but a change to a system profile 14,2 does not recognise the card after the post-installation of Sierra.

Ciao,
Dirk

Note for users with older mini PCIe wifi cards such as the 2006 MacBook BCM94321MC: there is no native support in macOS Sierra for your devices. AppleAirPortBrcm43224.kext has been omitted from IO80211Family.kext Plugins in macOS Sierra.

Below is a list of all devices that have been excluded from macOS Sierra:

Broadcom Device IDs
pci106b,4e
pci14e4,4311
pci14e4,4312
pci14e4,4313
pci14e4,4318
pci14e4,4319
pci14e4,431a
pci14e4,4320
pci14e4,4324
pci14e4,4325
pci14e4,4328
pci14e4,432c
pci14e4,432d

As of this posting there is no solution- this kext will not load in macOS Sierra.

Great information - stops me from banging head on wall. Is there a suggested wifi alternative for my desktop?
Thanks.

Hi,

Few days after ... I finally resolve my BT activation problem following a very simple tuto :

I just had to change the ID vendor & product into the IobluetoothFamily.kext as describe in the video.
After a reboot, Bluetooth is working - just go to PrefSys and you will see BT options.

Thanks again Rehab for your patience.

Just received that one off ebay, works wonders OOB. BT, AC Wifi, handoff the whole lot!
