Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

Try booting with nv_disable=1 then run this script :

Great idea, but no luck there. here's the result from the script:

The latest driver revision is 387.10.10.10.40.131

387.10.10.10.40.131 is already installed.

Has anyone succeeded in making Kepler based (GK107 specifically) mobile Quadro (K1100M) cards to get fully working with the native macOS drivers? In my case, the Quadro card is considered as a dedicated card - I can disable Intel HD 4600 completely in BIOS to only use the Quadro card, so theoretically I should not run into the scenario, where Optimus is not supported.

Hi
I have recently update to Sierra from El Capitan and I can´t get de nvidia web drivers to load, always load the OS X default Graphic Drivers.
By the way it looks like the Nvidia card its not recognized... I´m using a EVGA GEFORCE GTX 950 card.
I´m attaching some screenshot and the config.plist and the nvram.plist

Thanks!

Hey guys, I have a problem since I set up my new High Sierra hackintosh as iMac 17,1 to be able to connect to my iCloud and use iMessages. I installed web drivers for my GTX 1080 and everything worked fine, then I changed computer type to iMac 17,1 in clover config file. Since then the resolution is wrong and there are graphical glitches everywhere (stuttering, black bars on Safari tabs, white stripes running over login menu etc.). My GPU was recognized fine in system preferences but now it says MSI GeForce GTX 1080 256 MB which is wrong since it's memory is much bigger.

I tried other SMBIOS settings but nothing works, I also tried installing kexts that were supposed to fix this problem but nothing works.

Hello, I need help
I have a MacPro 96 gigas of RAM 12 cores end 2009 flashed in 5.1 with an Nvidia Geforce 1080 Ti card and a small Nvidia Geforce GT 120 card and 3 screens
I installed Mac OS 10.13.6 build 17G8037 -> driver 387.10.10.10.40.131
Everything worked perfectly for a few months, but for 3 weeks (i don't know why ?) the mac has not wanted to boot on the Nvidia 1080 Ti driver
Only my little Nvidia Geforce GT 120 card works.
I have several hard disks on which there are different systems to test the different Nvidia drivers
When I try to do an installation, with versions
10.13 - 17G10021 - driver 387.10.10.10.40.133
10.13 - 17G9016 - driver 387.10.10.10.40.132
10.13 - 17G8037 - driver 387.10.10.10.40.131
corresponding to the different builds of the systems
I still get each time the message "Installation failed"
I even uninstalled the Nvidia driver manually, and install again driver => same message

I admit that I do not see what to do, apart from switching to an AMD Radeon VII 16 GB?

Thanks for your help
Peter

You might have to remove the driver manually since uninstall doesn't always do a good job.

Follow Stork's post how to uninstall.

Thank you
but I still uninstall manually the nvidia driver with always the same message.

Thank you

A couple of things to try: 1). Boot in repair mode and when you get to install screen go to Utilities tab and open terminal, type in. csrutil disable
Reboot and reinstall the web drivers.

2). Use cursor arrows at clover screen and go to Options tab, hit enter. Go to System Parameters and open. Open System Integrity Protection and check the boxes to allow Unapproved kexts and Untrusted kexts. Note the number (0x67, or 0x30, etc... after selecting these and change it later in config.plist if it works.
