Hello,

ALC887 problem (MOBO GA-Z170-HD3)
tried to follow this guide:

Audio:
  1. Use the Clover DSDT patch found here, under the audio section. Then reboot.
  2. Mount your EFI.
  3. Run audio_CloverALC-110.command. Reboot.
and that was unsuccessful...
Then I've tried VoodooHDA kext from MULTIBEAST, I do have a sound now but it is like white noise all the time.

1. How do I remove VoodooHDA kext? (if I need to, or is there a way to fix it?)
2. What else to try?

Help would be greatly appreciated...!

I just came up with idea to check my MOBO sound on other system to make sure it is OK and white noise is caused by soft not by any malfunctions...
Does anyone have some suggestions how to do that? (what is simple and will work: windows / ubuntu? what else?)

I confirm that
Audio:
  1. Use the Clover DSDT patch found here, under the audio section. Then reboot.
  2. Mount your EFI.
  3. Run audio_CloverALC-110.command. Reboot.
method works, but first time I chose Audio ID: 1, and now (after I replaced appleHDA.kext with the native one) I chose audio ID: 2 and that worked.
