Imessage Same here. Looks like a lot of CustoMac users are experiencing this problem as of late, and there is no solution thus far. Dil83
iMessage Won't Work My sincere apologies- the existing issues thread was accidentally deleted. The cached version still exists here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...6.com/general-help/83263-imessage-wont-work-1
iMessage Won't Work Mine too stopped working this morning after no issues at all the last 6 months. I woke up to a "iMessage has unexpectedly crashed" and have not been able to sign in since. Found this in the logs: Code (Text): Dec 27 01:06:20 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 73CE59FE-C114-40D4-A994-DFBBE6F9C7E4 to 5170C450-31C6-43F0-B48C-0B7C37F7714F Dec 27 01:07:12 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 5BA40AE1-0EC4-49A9-8729-2285A3EB8AF5 to ED5BCAFA-727B-4B0F-B694-9D65C99A57C3 Dec 27 01:09:13 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 7A76FD70-4D96-4DBC-830A-3B8B7A53C973 to 6D5B24EA-067F-4BFA-BD0C-4D9FA52FBB86 Dec 27 01:09:41 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from A21BC754-463C-4883-8BA8-019FAB670264 to 82B22CE0-DE13-44AE-97F1-5DFC9202AA4C Dec 27 01:16:38 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 21374C88-9AA7-4ADB-B5D6-33D53EAB9E89 to C58B450E-EA2C-47D8-B28A-BAA9BF235258 Dec 27 01:16:43 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 479A5DA7-9820-441C-A75B-B675F93FA87F to 9C8A9EF2-C6A9-4CFD-A6FD-364F7889BC4F Dec 27 01:16:55 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 8BD2AD9C-0290-498C-9601-1D1DDA541570 to D327B36A-C511-48C1-8E00-B0573531F2F5 Dec 27 01:17:28 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 5B0AA185-5277-47BF-B4AA-093F839E7F63 to 92736AD8-B10F-47EE-B8A1-1E360976C46C Dec 27 01:17:31 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from CC5E2FE3-E0A4-43A8-B129-7BACA0EC5816 to 1DDE91A1-E785-4CF6-A7FA-CC8C35467623 Dec 27 01:19:48 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from ADE6838D-179B-4A6C-A482-D66D97011019 to 8811FCA0-B61D-4C7D-8BD9-53B94DDF6ECE Dec 27 01:20:24 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 741D88AC-BF28-4BEE-A407-A9A0B18E5CF4 to C3B5D10C-067A-4A1A-B76A-B333BC5E4CD5 Dec 27 01:20:38 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 2F8E374C-4514-46F3-A310-EEE8A8A37539 to ED8EE1F9-E180-41EF-9608-CCAB08EB9350 Dec 27 01:20:45 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from A3C0CF62-1701-4FA9-A332-9D4BF85D75FC to 350C1AB6-DE76-4130-A8EE-80D8997E0213 Dec 27 01:21:50 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 1F98D5C6-8C55-44EC-BDDB-011A891984AC to 9BD779B3-A494-46DD-9FC1-81C9CE165488 Dec 27 01:21:59 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from C3C00091-0904-4F29-B91F-EF65C2BDBC42 to 413FE3D6-0503-49D7-B09A-4F8B7D67184E Dec 27 01:22:00 localhost Messages[248]: [Warning] Updating typing guid on IMMessage from 03E6D83B-A1DD-4CE7-B331-D499594753DD to 385FA31F-2718-45F3-97D6-7980A6B8F726 Dec 27 07:49:52 localhost WindowServer[90]: CGXDisableUpdate: UI updates were forcibly disabled by application "Messages" for over 1.00 seconds. iMessage Won't Work Just in reply to something in the cached thread; The certificate isn't anything to do with the problems. How do I know? Because it doesn't exist on a Mac VM I'm using to test this out. I snapshotted back to a working state, and it's stopped working again - the certificate doesn't exist. So unless it's tied in with something else somewhere, or I'm just getting a one-off, you shouldn't focus on that too much. EDIT: Removed the link because the OP was updated.
iMessage Won't Work So just to summarize what I can ascertain from the (now deleted) thread: * New problem seems to have started around 12/18/2012 * This is different from the other problems initially reported at the launch of Mountain Lion where there was a community fix that allowed iMessage (AKA Messages App) to run on OSX86 builds * Users who setup and logged in prior to 12/18 seem to be unaffected UNLESS they log out of their account in Messages and try to log back in * Known solutions for related issues, such as restoring a generic hosts file, deleting/changing Ethernet (en0, en1) addresses, changing serial numbers, messing with hardware UUIDs does not fix the problem * Does not appear to be an issue with "real" Mac hardware * As of this writing, no known, verified fix has been confirmed Am I correct or did I miss anything? (And yes, I'm having the same problem; somewhere around 12/18, I received a notification saying that my account was locked and I needed to change the password; password reset worked and I'm OK on MB Air, iPhone, iPad but not my Hackintosh)
iMessage Won't Work imessage is out, see attached maybe it can help someone.......i keep getting this message
