I noticed the repo was archived and pointed to a new one. However, I had a couple problems with the new one.Basically, get the code for AptioInputFix.efi from the git distro at https://github.com/vit9696/AptioFixPkg
First, when doing a fresh install on an encrypted, Journaled drive.. there is no EFI folder on the EFI drive, it is still empty. I'm presented with a screen to enter the disk passphrase after the first reboot if I want to continue the installation.
Second, neither copying the new ApfsDriverLoader.efi to my USB installer EFI, nor copying it to the appropriate subfolders on the empty main EFI, are able to get the keyboard working at the disk passphrase page.
Any help is appreciated guys, I am trying to get High Sierra working again on an 8600k coffeelake and ASUS Z370-A
Thanks
