I already tried. It doesn't output to the external monitor either (the monitor reports no signal).

Check in Windows for an understanding of which graphics device the HDMI port is connected to.

If I understand correctly, it's the Intel GPU because it's Optimus.

You should check to be sure.
Guessing things that can easily be tested is never a good idea.

Yeah, that's true.

How do I check that? Is there any specific place that tells me?

Attach external monitor. Check monitor properties (in Windows a right click gives you an option to inspect properties, or you can navigate from Windows Device Manager).

Both say "Location: on Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630".

Then you probably need to add a missing connector to the framebuffer set of connectors (via WhateverGreen.kext style patching).
Would this help to get the internal display to work?
I actually don't have a way to test HMDI often :(

I thought you were trying to fix HDMI.

Well, no.. I'm trying to get the internal display to display with acceleration working.

Test with external monitor or try to connect with remote desktop
