Hello,
Specs:
i7 6700k
gtx 970
GA-Z170X-UD5 TH
950 nvme ssd
Configuration:
1080p monitor one in DVI
1080p monitor two in display port (with an hdmi adapter)
4k Hisense h8 TV in hdmi 2.0 port to hdmi 2.0 on the tv
Issue:
The tv won't read a signal if it's detected as native 4k from the hackintosh. If I switch the hdmi cable to the displayport adapter then the computer reads it as native 1080p and works fine. What's the issue? Can I not use it is as a 4k monitor?
Side Note:
I can also trick the computer to treat it like a 1080p monitor if I mirror all the displays but I can't downscale it to 1080 or else the tv wont read it. It has to be detected by the computer as 1080p. Thanks for the help!
Solution:
Set the refresh rate to 30hz instead of 60hz. (Input lag is pretty bad at this rate)
