Motherboard
Asus Rog G751JY-WH71/ Clover version 3625
CPU
i7-4720HQ @ 2.60GHZ/HM87
Graphics
GTX 980M 4095MB, 1920x1080
I am unable to get my Broadcom BCM94352z card to work in an Asus Rog G751 with 10.10 successfully installed on it. The machine comes stock with an Intel Dual Band Wireless AC7260 card, but intel cards are not compatible with Mac OS so I replaced it with the former.

I followed instructions on here (http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/), adding the Fake PCIID and Broadcom Wifi, and BRCMPatchRam kext from rehabman to my S/L/E folder. Unfortunately, the Wifi icon is crossed out in the menubar and Wifi does not even appear as an option in Network settings. Ethernet works and is available there.

In addition, I cant get the wireless card to be detected on the Windows 10 operating system either (its a dual boot machine). I have downloaded several drivers from Broadcom, but due to the extension I have no idea how to install them (http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11). This website (https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Broadcom_BCM94352Z), claims that Broadcoms latest drivers should work with the card though.

Any suggestions or advice on whether this card works with an Asus machine and if so how to get it there for both Windows and 10.10 would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Solution: On my motherboard there is a screw that holds the wifi card down. If you screw it all the way in the wifi card has problems connecting on the PCI Bus, but by leaving it out, I realized it registers just fine on the PCI Bus. If that works you can then screw it in halfway. This got the card working in Yosemite, but I still had an issue in Windows 10. That was solved by installing the Lenovo driver package attached below. After install, right click the network icon in the bottom right and select open network and sharing center, then click Change Adapter Settings. You should see the Broadcom card there and it will be greyed out and disabled after the install. Right click and select diagnose, this should reset the card and then enable it in full working order.

Not a desktop. Moved to laptop support.

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Provide output (in Terminal):
Code:
kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc
kextstat|grep -y applehda

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (press F4 at main Clover screen before collecting). Please eliminate 'themes' directory. Provide only EFI/Clover, not the entire EFI folder.

Attach output of (in Terminal):
Code:
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Compress all files as ZIP. Do not use external links. Attach all files using site attachments only.

Attached is the output. The ioregistryexplorer refused to open. It kept getting stuck and not responding. Ill research and try to get it working, but in the mean time if you could help with this output that would be great.

Make sure you're using the correct version of IORegistryExplorer. Reply when you have all files/output requested.

Ive tried several versions, including the one you linked, none seem to open. They all freeze... Ever had that happen?

The two causes are:
- bad ACPI configuration (mostly SSDT*.aml saved as text)
- not using IORegistryExplorer v2.1 (v3.x is bad)

Do you mean the ssdt being used by clover. As you can see from my efi file, the ssdt being used should be correctly assembled. I followed your post to correctly disassemble and patch to fix the battery status...

You asked me why the IORegistryExplorer might have the behavior you observe. I gave you the two most common causes I see. I didn't say one or the other was your issue.

I finally got IoRegistry to open, the saved file is attached as zip and the other files requested.
