Solved by doing the following;

Open the file /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortAtheros40.kext/Contents/Info.plist as sudo with a decent text editor (nano, vi, ...) and add <string>pci168c,2d</string><string>pci168c,2e</string> so it looks like

<string>pci168c,30</string>
<string>pci168c,2a</string>
<string>pci106b,0086</string>
<string>pci168c,1c</string>
<string>pci168c,23</string>
<string>pci168c,24</string>
<string>pci168c,2d</string>
<string>pci168c,2e</string>

I think it was the pci168c,2d that worked for me.

Remember to clear cache / fix permissions etc.

Worked great for me, thanks for posting!

I just upgraded to High Sierra from El Capitan and worked a charm again. At first it didn't but then i read my reminder note to clear cache etc (I use kext utility) , rebooted and all good. :)

Hi everyone

I need some help. I recently succeeded to install El Capitan with Clover on a new disk and I'm happy because the sound work perfectly with an usb adapter. But impossible to make the internet work.
I have the built-in ethernet connection with a netgear wifi adapter connected on it and a TP-Link wifi 851nd card. None works.

I have installed AppleIntel1000e.kext from multibeast and IO80211 family patched for TP-link (works on the YOS HDD).

Any idea ?
