Running Mavericks and sometimes I get the gray Apple screen and whirling icon and it takes about 40 min to load. The only happens maybe ever 4th startup. Is there a string I could use in Terminal that would set this back on track??

The question is how have you configured your system. I see that you are using a discrete graphics card. If you are not using the onboard Intel Graphics then you will need need to to edit your org.chameleon.Boot.plist.

The default in MultiBeast for Maverick's is IGPEnabler=Yes. If you are not using the onboard Intel graphics then set this to No. How To Edit a .plist

Restart your system and enter the BIOS. Disable the onboard Intel graphics there. Press F10 save and exit and see how this works for you.
