it is because the Kexts are to be in /Library/Extensions as they get cached from there.
the only kexts in EFI are these

what is your trackpad doing exactly?

Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn’t work. And I don’t know why.

well you need to find out when it works and when it does not work, anyway if you sort all out this would be the easiest thing to fix i think
