Hello All,

Recently I updated my Sierra 10.12.6 build to the latest 10.13.4, but after doing so, general performance has been very bad. This is most notable in changing between desktops, where it will begin the animation, freeze for roughly 2 seconds with the black bar stuck in the center, then jump to the finish animation.

The Nvidia WebDrivers are installed and enabled and on the latest version.

My build is as follows:
  • i7 6700k @ 4.0Ghz
  • Asus Z170 Sabertooth MARK 1
  • Gigabyte GTX 980Ti G1 Gaming
  • Kingston Hyper X 32GB
  • Corsair RM850i
After this disappointment, I decided to reinstall High Sierra from a new USB onto a Samsung 960 Evo. The install completed with no problems, but after reinstalling the Nvidia webdrivers on the new OS, the same problem occurs again.

I have my SMBIOS set to a iMac16,2 and I am using GraphicsEnabler=No, InjectNvidia=False

If you have any further questions or need more info, just ask!

Thanks,

Declan

To fix the chrome problem, I have disabled hardware acceleration, but general OS performance is still bad.

I hear people mentioning a patched .106 driver for 10.13.4. Does anyone know where to download this?

Thanks a lot! This information help me. Very important with 10.13.4 and nVidia WebDriver! Thanks again!

So, Doc.
How's the performance in overall compared to Sierra?
I've been trying to use High Sierra since its release but dude it sucks so much with these glitched drivers. I'm still using 10.12.6 because of poor performance in Final Cut and Logic.
I have a gtx 770 btw
