Yes i've searched threads, and internet, for 3 days. I've tried literally everything under the sun from doriana guides to every work around imaginable going back to 2012. I cannot find anything wrong. In fact everything was perfect until this week when suddenly hack decided sleep feature is utterly worthless and always instantly wakes up/goes to sleep on infinite loop now.

Here is what a wake loop looks like from two diff types of logs

Believe me I've tried every RTC fix. every patch that's supposed to be there is there. There isn't even a single program open. I even disabled wifi bluetooth airdrop and findmymac. Doesn't stop blueavenger from causing some of the wakes because of apples intrusive airtags mesh network needs to use every apple device without permission. Based on time stamps it could very well be that forcing the RTC alarms. Unfortunately that can't be disabled. Maybe a good feature for RestrictEvents to look into

However google says that even blueavengers shouldn't run forever. But for me it does. Sleep is impossible. Can anyone see anything here I can even work with?

Here is what a wake loop looks like from two diff types of logs

Here is more verbose log

If the system is doing that on a seemingly infinite basis, that’s very wrong.

It could be caused by anything, but I suspect it could be a hardware issue somewhere - systems and neither OSes do not suddenly decide to go crazy. It is likely a piece of hardware that has likely failed or burned out.

I recommend you try and retain the original EFI settings for the system, and using that test and check your systems temperature. Look at what pieces from your hardware may have been damaged. It could be RAM, a flat BIOS battery, damaged motherboard/SSD, overheated CPU or GPU (in which case doing a thermal repaste of either may help).

Thermals all fine, I'd catch something that obvious.

already ruled out most of drives and USB by unplugging everything.

also the logs don't indicate hardware cause since it's a software RTC alarm that's causing the wake, usually hardware ones are more indicative. I really suspect the obfuscated apple process is to blame, which makes it near impossible to diagnose unless any users have delt with that before. Which is why I'm hoping someone here has.

I will pull the USB/wifi card from board though as a test to see if FULLY killing bluetooth (not just turning off) solves it (cause that'd be enough to kill BlueAvenger)

Hi there.

I think it is worth mentioning that a macOS compatible PCIe wireless/bluetooth combo card with USB header connection can be fully sorted by configuration.

A good candidate for wake from sleep is the USB port on your RX6900XT, assuming it has one. Find out where it is allocated by running the IORegistryExplorer app.

"Port polling" is generally what causes wake-ups.

If your system randomly goes to sleep too, as implied in post #1, then USB is not the issue.

i made one discovery. whatever causes wakes doesn’t do it if do not disturb is enable. for 8 hours straight no wakes. dnd squelched whatever task was sending the wake requests. i just do not see a hardware cause is this. some task is going rogue. at least i know i can force it now for bed but i do leave computer for long periods of time during day too. maybe i can set something hacky like a script loop that checks if display off and if so sets dnd.

will also go through notification settings. or anything else i can think of that i know dnd disables.

it doesn’t randomly sleep that it’s doing on idle. it just attempts to go back to sleep after answering the wake requests. only to get a new wake requests immediately after tryin to sleep again. it stays in that loop until i send it an actual user wake requests then it sets idle timer back to 5 min

EDIT:
Just want to add that whatever problem was, self resolved. It was definitely a software task causing it, and eventually it finished what it was doing. What task that was i'll never know since apple ofuscated it. Everything's been smooth again, like before.
