[SOLVED] Sierra HiDPI scaling issues

Hey guys I found this thread on Google and this problem is driving me mad. If anyone has any guidance I would really appreciate help. My MacBook Pro hooked up to my LG monitor only has two scaling options: Effing Gigantic or Impossible-to-see tiny. I spent the past 12 hours trying to resolve this and I am losing my mind. I need a large monitor for my web design and development, but I can't just design on a default MacBook Pro screen that is 27 inches wide where everything is huge.

Great news guys!! Ive got it to work!!! I changed the ig-platform-id from 0x19120000 to 0x19260002 and I can use HiDPI on resolutions higher than FullHD.

Weird thing is, that 0x19260002 maps to Iris 540 according to Piker's list. But when I look at "About this Mac" my graphics card is still correctly detected as HD530.

I havent done any other testing so I dont know if this causes other bugs, but Im happy

Can you give anymore information on this?

I have tried all your configurations but cannot boot into the OS. The only platform ID that works is 0x19120000.

I have the same processor as you i7-6700T using HD 530 graphics and I am trying to get 2560 x 1440 resolution to work on a 4k display. I would love to get this to work natively.

Anyone else try this with any success? I didn't have any luck on my i7-6700k.
Success here! i7-6700k on Asus Z170-A board. Set ig-platform-id to "0x19260002" then I can set my resolution to 2560 x 1440 hidpi

Noob here, how do you set the ig-platfom to 0x19260002 ? Is there an option in clover configurator?

Edit: Ok I set it the clover configurator, but it not only does not give more HDPI options, but works very buggy. It seems the hardware acceleration is off. :( Originally I had 0x19168086. Any help will be appreciated.

I have 6600K on Gigabye Z270MX Gaming-5 wiith 38" LG UnltraWide monitor (3840x1600 Native). The very same monitor scales to that resolution with HIDPI from my MacbookPro 2015 out of the box.

Enable "Inject Intel" if not.

just found this thread, i also thought it was impossible to get virtual resolutions above 1920x1080 on intel graphics - very cool find @Keeskaas!

wish it was more consistent though. anyone else get this working? I may try to get my hands on an i3 with HD 530 to test it out
