Did you add the resolution 3200x1800? It's missing in the list, but should be there to enable HiDPI 1600x900.
Ill add on the plist or in switchres ?

In SwitchResX.
Added in custom resolution , + , 3200x1800, then saved, now rebooted, then i go to select 1600x900 hidpi (near i can see "4hz")
But i cant enable it Schermata 2017-02-26 alle 18.51.03.png

Okay
ITs fine.
As my pc is a laptop 15,6 with a display resolution 1920x1080 but
i cant put 1080p cause sistem ui in general(font apps and all ui) is really too small and eyes hurt a bit.
900p hidpi is good but still too small.
tried 720p hidpi but things are too big.
There is some in between?
Still get a brightness problem too that when i reboot my pc it reset to default 100%.fixable?

Sure, you can add anything in between. Just be sure to retain the correct aspect ratio (e.g. 1360x760).
Ok
Thanks, do u know any brightness Fix?

Hey guys I found this thread on Google and this problem is driving me mad. If anyone has any guidance I would really appreciate help. My MacBook Pro hooked up to my LG monitor only has two scaling options: Effing Gigantic or Impossible-to-see tiny. I spent the past 12 hours trying to resolve this and I am losing my mind. I need a large monitor for my web design and development, but I can't just design on a default MacBook Pro screen that is 27 inches wide where everything is huge.
