Thanks for your response, my headphones are plugged in right, under system utilities and sound it says i have no output device.

Thank you for response macman, I installed DSDT with instructions from tonys post, so for userdsdt I installed ALC8xxHDA and AppleHDA Rollback

BTW, make sure you're using the latest version of MultiBeast. As of v3.1.0, the

- Updated ALC8xxHDA to version 1.0.1. This version restores Green Line Out and Headphone functionality to how Legacy8xx works.

With this update, I now have surround sound from the back sound ports and front panel audio from my P55M-UD2.

To get the newer version of ALC8xxHDA, I deleted/trashed my Extra folder, and, using the current version of MultiBeast and the P55M-UD2 DSDT.aml file, I reinstalled everything per my MultiBeast configuration (shown in my Full Description link in my signature block). Before rebooting, I reinstalled Lin2Mac's Realtek network kext pkg. Rebooted and everything works.

I'm a tuneful guy.

Do i need to remove anything from system extensions or just the /extra's?

Ok, I did suggestion, removed /extra again and used your exact specs, - the 64 bit apple boot screen (currently using 32bit) and I also installed Chameleon boot loader for ati as im running a 5770. a copy of dmesg is included if it helps.

I just trashed my /Extra folder to be on the safe side. I didn't chase down any other kexts.

What does your Extra folder look like? Oh..wait...you can't boot into OS X yet. Well, I'm not sure. We'll just have to wait for a MacMan or Lin2Mac or tonymacx86 knowledgeable guys to help with this issue.

As you'd installed easybeast before, you have to delete some kexts from /S/L/E and /E/E

Correct, Back when I first installed OSX I tried easy beast, how do I know exactly what I need to delete from S/L/E and E/E?

Im quite new so slowly getting to where I need to be. And I did use the correct user DSDT for my board, and latest multibeast.

Yes, I see it in easybeast but says no sound support.

I will delete the applehda ktext and try reinstalling it, if im understanding correctly.
