[SOLVED] NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 + Sierra

I am having same problem here with GTX 260. Was working fine in Yosemite & El Capitan with just Clover InjectNvidia=true no nvidia wedrivers needed.

In Sierra it kernel panics if i enable InjectNvidia=true.

Nvidia webdrivers are not working for this card i presume. Installed it and enabled it via config.plist. Still couldnt boot into Sierra.

Can only boot with nv_disable=1.

The only solution now is to revert back to El-Capitan.

I just tried Multibeast 9 for Sierra. Still exactly the same issues. I hope someone has a working Sierra setup with the GTX 260 and/or GTX285
Exact same problem here, I have a
asus P6T i7 920
nvidia GTX 260
same kernel panic screen as yours.
attaching my config.plist

I didn't need web drivers in El Capitan, just disabling nv_disable=1 at installation time and then removing that.
also another thing I tried: I used the clover that unibeast generated but instead of booting the sierra instalation partition I booted the old El Capitan installation and worked fine, so it must be something Sierra-specific right?

if you guys find any solution please let us know here!

Now I found solution! My GTX 260 works fine on Sierra;)

The solution: Use NVDAStartup.kext for El Capitan.

If you have any backup including TimeMachine, you can get NVDAStartup version 10.10.13 in S/L/E.
If you have no backup, you can use the one I attached in this post.

1. Backup and remove NVDAStartup.kext
2. Install NVDAStartup.kext for El Capitan with KextBeast or something.
3. Reboot with 'InjectNvidia=true'
4. Enjoy your sierra world!!

I think its not best solution. I hope someone find better one.

Wouldn't setting nv_disable=1 disable the nvidia driver? I'm confused.
So you installed Sierra using nv_disable=1 and injectNvidia disabled, then installed the kext with kextbeast , then rebooted and it worked? could you please provide your config.plist? thanks a lot!

Oh, its my mistake on No.3.
Not "nv_disable=1" but 'InjectNvidia=true'.

I attached config.plist.

Success in GTX 285 with Gigabyte z68, Thanks a lot

Hi guys,
I have the same problem above but I can't even start the installation process because of kernel panic related to NVDAStartup.
I can't start with nv_disable=1
Do you have suggestions ?

I used the kext attached to your post. and i used the bootflags: "slide=0 dart=0 npci=0x2000 kext-dev-mode=1 rootless=0" (selecting the InjectNvidia option under graphics in clover). Now i don't get a KP anymore, but the screen stays black. Did i miss something?

EDIT: I got it to work!

My steps:
1. Install Mac OS Sierra
2. Boot with nv_disable=1
3. Download and install the kext yhiraki provided earlier in this thread through Kextbeast
4. Change bootflags to "dart=0 PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler = Yes darkwake=0 rootless=0"
5. Reboot
6. Profit $$$
