It's about damn time. I wonder why Nvidia waited so long?

Theories abound I'm sure.

Mine is that nVidia have had a quiet nod from Apple regarding their plans for the newly announced iMac and Mac Pro. Maybe they are planning an nVidia option.

I'm sure we can come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories. It may be the that the Titan XP is the 'last' (major) product announcement in the 10XX line so they timed it with that.

Also fixing some of the longstanding Nvidia driver bugs on OSX absolutely requires coordination with Apple, so maybe that finally happened.

It's also worth noting they STILL haven't released the redistributable firmware blobs needed for the nouveau drivers on Linux. Nvidia just does things like this sometimes...

The guys at 9 to 5 mac have confirmed that, they are releasing drivers for all 10xx series cards! Not just the Titan XP
