I was able to set my screen to 1440p HiDpi with a HD530 by changing the ig-platform-id to 0x19260002 and using the
mac-pixel-clock-patch-V2

Just for info, did you applied the patch (CoreDisplay only, or also IOKit?) and then changed the ig-platform-id?

To be clear: install Sierra, ig-platform-id 0x19120000, flickering fix.

Then apply patch, change ig-platform-id to 0x19260002 and that's it?

Yes, I applied the CoreDisplay first (no need to apply IOKit for Sierra), then I changed the ig-platform-id.

Hack working with:
- GTX 960 in first pcie of my Z170 pro : HDMI (1440p 60hz)

Booting in HDMI in Windows (deactivate the GTX 960 in the control panel), select DisplayPort on your screen when you are in Windows to get your 1070 working.

Hack booting so with GTX 960. Installation with i7 6700k with HDMI: select iMac 17.1.
Install Nvidia drivers and booting back: black screen, so reboot without activating the drivers (spacebar when clover menu appears before booting in macOS).
Solution: install AGDPfix, and reboot your hack.

Booting perfectly in macOS 10.12.2 with GTX 960 and fully acceleration in 1440p :)

I am trying to do the same thing with a GTX 1080 & and a GTX 750 Ti, however because of the mobo and case I cannot place the 1080 in the second PCI slot, therefore I have 1080 in the first slot and 750 in the second.

With the 1080 removed & 750 still sitting in secondary slot, I've managed to install Sierra, make the Skylake work with no problem.

Afterwards, I've inserted the 1080 in the first slot and macOS sees the GPUs as two separate desktops, with the output coming from 1080 display as primary.

As a result, I've been looking for ways to power off the pci slot with the 1080 at boot by editing the ACPI, but with no success. How have you managed to solve this problem? Did you manage to disable that video output somehow?

* I've tried to set the Initial Display Output in bios but it doesn't make any difference for me.

I also gave up. I'm buying a 770 4GB to supplement my 1060 and for compatibility with Linux open source drivers. Nvidia will never release the full firmware blobs for for Maxwell going forward. Sorry, there comes a point where you have to say "never."
 
Just wanted to add my name to the list of people giving up; I swapped my 1080 for a 980ti (made £100 in the trade at least) figuring that 6GB vs 8GB won't make all the difference in the world when considering that I'm gaming at 1080p, not 4k.

10.12.3 is now working perfectly and I can still run overwatch at max settings buttery smooth, so I shan't cry over my lost Pascal.
