I'm posting this even though it's already resolved as information to anyone else that's upgraded to Mojave.
This build is a GA-H97n-wifi board. I've not had this ethernet issue with previous versions of Mac OS. I've always used AppleIntelE100e and AtherosE2200Ethernet kexts in the L/E folder.
I removed AppleIntelE100e and AtherosE2200Ethernet. Then I installed IntelMausiEthernet (v2.4.0). IntelMausiEthernet came as an installer package. I’m not sure on everything it did, but IntelMausiEthernet kext showed up in L/E.
This resolved my problem of no internet after sleep. Only the ethernet port closest to the audio jacks works. And that's fine for me.
Does anyone else know what the IntelMausiEthernet installer does? I was expecting just to install a kext with KextBeast. But it downloaded as an installer. It did put the respective kext in L/E, but I also noted it doing something to the "preboot" volume.
