I'm following the HFS+ instructions mentioned in this thread:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/update-directly-to-macos-high-sierra.232707/

But after the reboot (5th step), there is no option to install the OS. It just displays the previous boot options.

I've attached my EFI folder (removed the themes folder and the ID parameters from SMBIOS and RtVariables sections).

Can anyone help me with this please?

My system configuration is:
Processor: Intel core i5 6600
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170 D3H
Graphic Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 560 4 GB

This problem fixed

just replace the EFI file on your USB installer

I'm not using a USB installer. I have the installer in my Applications folder and I'm trying to update from there.

I tried your folder (excluding the Test2.efi file, what is it for btw?) but it didn't help. I still get back to the current version after the installer restarts.

After reading so many posts here I tried booting in safe mode. It didn't work...
But when I restarted, the Install Mac OS High Sierra From SSD was there and it went smoothly.
