Been on this for a week... scoured many similar threads in the forum and tried a bunch of things but nothing seems to work. Here is my exact build (every single component was picked from the Buyer's Guide section. I understand that there is no guarantee that my combination will work 100%)

Motherboard: ASUS Prime H370M-Plus/CSM LGA1151 (300 Series)
Memory: 2X (32GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz (PC4 21300)
CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K Desktop Processor 8 Cores up to 5.0 GHz Turbo Unlocked LGA1151 300 Series 95W
GPU: Sapphire 11265-05-20G Radeon Pulse RX 580 8GB GDDR5 Dual HDMI / DVI-D / Dual DP OC with Backplate (UEFI) PCI-E
SSD: Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA M.2 Type 2280SS Internal SSD - CT500MX500SSD4

I'm just going to post screenshots of verbose logs of my original "vanilla" attempt (no clover tweaks beyond the basic guide posted here).

Thank you!

"Still waiting for root device".
When installing this means that your USB flash drive cannot be found.
This is usually because the flash drive is in a USB3 port.
If this is the case move it to a USB2 port, if it is already in a USB2 port move it to another and try again.
Repeat until you have tried all USB ports.
Use a USB2 flash drive.
If it still doesn't work you could try another flash drive.
You might also try enabling Legacy on your USB3 ports in your BIOS settings.
If you only have USB3 ports try with your USB flash drive in a USB2 hub.
Make sure Fast Boot is not activated in your BIOS.

May require USBInjectAll.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/
May require XHCI-unsupported.kext in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/

Alright. Adding USBInjectAll.kext & using a USB2 hub got me passed that!... then.... once the installer loaded, it did not see any of my SATA drives, so I found AHCIPortInjector.kext and added that... boom... drives show up on next boot.

Now I'm stuck on the installer hanging at 2 minutes left to complete. I notice that the mouse stops responding so I assume that the system is just hanging there. I hit the reset button and let it boot with Unibeast again. This time I chose the HFS partition that the installed created and it boots back to "Installing on "xxxxxx"" , but hangs on "About 15 minutes remaining." I waited 20 just to see if anything moved... nothing.

There's hope. I feel like I am getting closer.

BreBo,

Thank you for getting me past the boot part. I worked all the other hurdles and settled on a 95% working Mojave install with the following efi drivers and kexts that I listed in screenshots (taken on the hackintosh and posted this reply from it).

Now i just need to tweak some power settings to resolve Shutdown/Restart problems. Currently I'm unable to do that. Also, my CPU tends to run hot, anywhere between 70-100C. I think this will require some detailed config.plist editing.

If you have any suggestions or link to a thread, i'd appreciate it.

Thank you!

Hello EricK9900, Can you give me more details on how you resolved the "Prohibited" issue?
I have the same issue,

I have H370M DS3H + i5-8400 | Mojave 10.4.2

I have tried
1. Read through some post about USB, I tested 2 USB sticks (one sd card in USB adaptor, one USB 2.0) in all USB ports.
2. Checked. USB Ownership, and USB Injection

This is my setting

3. Set Extreme Memory profile to "Profile 1"
4. Disable Fast Boot
5. Disable CSM
6. Initial Display Output to IGFX
7. Disable PTT
8. Disable Trusted Computing
9. Enabled Legacy USB, XHCI, USB mass storage, Disabled Port 60/64
10. Set SATA to AHCI
11. Disabled VT-d

BreBo mentioned
May require USBInjectAll.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/
May require XHCI-unsupported.kext in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/
That is after installation, right?

Please help

Sorry lysj, I haven't been on here for a while. Actually... I've kinda given up on my build (temporarily). I'm going to wait until there is official i9 support. I've just not been able to control it's temperature on Mojave. Just gonna ride Win10 on this thing for now...

I hope you find your answers out here. Your specs are pretty common.
