Just tried a fresh Mojave install on my new Asus Prime Z390-P and i7-9700k. Using a GTX 960 and 1x16GB of RAM at 3200 Mhz.
First problem is that the installation freezes always when 2 minutes left (no restart/shutdown, just still image and frozen mouse pointer).

Seems that this is when the system tries to restart and it freezes at that point.

Any clues on how to solve this?

I already tried to change my clover config to the exact same settings as this post: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...-at-2-minutes-left.262173/page-2#post-1827618
Same enabled fixes, same boot flags and with OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi installed. Still facing the same issue.

The install log looks exactly like the one in the first thread I linked:

I had the same issue on the ITX version, it seems it's a Clover issue with Z390. Have you tried with the latest Clover? A new version was just released, but I'm not sure if it fixes the issue.

you may want to try High Sierra as there are no web drivers for your nvidia card (or take out your nvidia card and use Intel Graphics)

Yesterday I have same problem 2min before finish crash and I try many options.I resolve that problem with delete in application Install Mojave and new Download after that format USB stick and New create with UniBeast. ;)
Try it and write ;)

I had the same issue on the ITX version, it seems it's a Clover issue with Z390. Have you tried with the latest Clover? A new version was just released, but I'm not sure if it fixes the issue.

I used the Clover from the latest UniBeast 9.0.0. Can I update the Clover version by just downloading the new and replacing files?
Also, were you able to fix this problem on your Z390 ITX version?

you may want to try High Sierra as there are no web drivers for your nvidia card (or take out your nvidia card and use Intel Graphics)

Are you sure? On my previous rig, I had High Sierra with a GTX 960 with Nvidia Web drivers and it worked perfectly.
Or are you talking specifically about a problem with Mojave + GTX 960 + NvidiaWeb drivers?

At any rate, my GTX 1070 is on the way, so hopefully it will definitely be compatible, right?

So, you basically recreated the USB install stick with a new Mojave download? I'll give it a try and report back.

Thanks to all!

It would be compatible if Nvidia releases drivers for Mojave, but they haven't. So your cards won't work with full acceleration, hence my suggestion of either using your Intel or going back to High Sierra.

Not really, I only had the motherboard for a few days, but yeah if you just install the latest version of Clover and choose ESP installation, it'll replace the older files.

Oh, I understand what you mean now. I wasn't aware that Nvidia didn't release Mojave drivers.
I guess I'll need to keep using High Sierra, then. :(

I had an existing, functional install of Mojave from a Asus Prime Z370-A, tried to boot it on a Asus Prime Z390-A, and couldn't get past the "Error allocating 0x#### pages at 0x####alloc type 2". I tried every version of AptioMemoryFix I could find, nothing worked. I think one combination resulted in a different kernel error, but I never got it to boot. This was with Clover r4700, have not tried the latest version.

Bad news:

After trying to install High Sierra, the same exact problem happens.
This time, when "about a minute is remaining", the installer hangs, exactly like it did on the Mojave installation.

This is definitely some Power Management related problem that happens on restarts.

One thing I noticed when I booted with verbose flag was something like "unknown CPU model - some power functionality might be missing". Something like this.
This is probably because I'm using a 9th gen CPU, right? Maybe this is related with the restart issue?
Or probably just a Z390 compatibility issue.

I'm using latest @RehabMan's clover fork.
